The Challenges of Outside Wedding Catering
A blog by Chef Steve from A Class Catering by Martin & Steve.
A Class Catering has catered many wedding receptions on the south coast & with todays trends many bride’s & grooms (from Sydney) want to have their special day on the beach,at a surf club, hired guest house or with a bush setting on a farm, which ever they choose A Class Catering has been there to help organise & create a fantastic event that they will remember & talk about for years to come.
We have a saying or mantra at A Class that Martin & I both believe in & follow ‘We can do the impossible !! But the impossible just takes a little bit longer’ meaning we can cater your wedding but the impossible comes down to the planning, many meetings & many emails w/ the bride & groom that eventually make the impossible a reality.
There are so many things to consider when planning an outside Wedding.
1, location & access
2,organising a temporary kitchen w/ equipment
3,mobile coolroom
4,style of menu selected to suit budget & location
5,marques,furniture & crockery hire
6,power & water
7,accommodation for guest (glamping is an option)
8,toilet facilities
9,staffing
10, mother nature (most important to have a plan B)
This list can go on & on as all the boxes have got to be ticked that nothing is missed even the most trivial.
It sounds daunting doesn’t it but its not impossible  ?.
?.
