Vegan Tofu Recipe


Vegan Tofu Recipe, Today I’d like to share a Vegan recipe for Chilled Tofu w/ a Korean Soy & Chilli Dressing.
It makes a great entree at any dinner party or great as a canape at a cocktail party.
Yes its vegan but don’t knock it til you try it as I recently served this dish as one the canapes at a function for 350 people & they went down a treat.
Something Different Something Tasty Something Vegan.
This Vegan Tofu Recipe serves 6
Ingredients
300g block hard tofu cut into 2cm cubes drained & chilled to serve later.
Dressing
1 shallot stalk very thinly sliced
60ml or 1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
1 1/2 teaspoons caster sugar
1 tablespoon sesame seeds toasted to serve
Salad leaves to serve (if serving as an entree)
Method
1 for the dressing combine all ingredients in a bowl & mix well (for best results make the dressing earlier & chill in the fridge for a couple of hours)
2 if serving as an entree arrange chilled tofu cubes on salad leaves & spoon over dressing & sprinkle w/ toasted sesame seeds.
3 if serving as a canape arrange tofu on a serving platter & spoon over dressing & toasted sesame seeds & place a toothpick in the centre of the tofu for easy serving.
